Joan received an award from the State of Idaho for her 36 years of service; she was extremely proud of this recognition. She shared her love with people by feeding beloved family members, cherished friends, and countless baseball/softball team members and twirlers.Joan never forgot to mail the perfectly selected card in recognition of birthdays.There, he attended Longfellow School, North Junior High, and graduated from Boise High in 1951. He joined the Navy in 1951 and was in the service for four years.He achieved the rank of 1st Class Petty Officer He attended the University of Idaho and graduated in 1959.He was Rotary President and also served as a District Governor where he and Fran traveled to Australia and New Zealand.Clarke was a contractor all of his adult life and built many homes in this area.A memorial will be held this summer at his wife's Orofino ranch. After his honorable discharge from the Army he attended college in Wahpaton, SD.
She was an avid pet lover, animal rescuer and did volunteer work at local pet shelters.Joan was preceded in death by her parents and husband.She is survived by: a brother, Tom (Diana) Green of Bothell, WA; a sister, Diana Schoeffler of Lewiston; a son, Gary Kroupa (Lisa and grandson Aaron age 13) of Elko, NV; a son Stacy Kroupa (granddaughter Madisyn age 6) of Elko, NV; and a daughter, Jodi Nelson (Eric and grandsons Hunter age 9 and Maddox age 6) of Wheat Ridge, CO.She shared her best wishes for many a new graduate, new baby or newlywed near and far.Always quick to give a hand to anyone in need, Joan took pleasure in helping others.
